Mission Hill Walk for Health
September 2003

Bright skies were the order of the day, as the HSDM team braved the steep hills of Roxbury for the 8th annual Mission Hill Walk. With the threat of hurricane Isabel now a distant memory, and the sun drying the remnants of her failed attempt to cancel the walk, the HSDM Team was able to finish the walk in record time.

The Mission Hill Walk for Health is a fundraiser to benefit local community-based agencies, which provide year-round services to youth. The walk insures that youth in the Mission Hill have a safe environment where they can engage in educational, social and recreational activities. 100% of the funds raised will support library and computer equipment, athletic programs, academic achievement projects, educational and recreational field trips, and more.

A special thank you to the HSDM community for their generous donations, and an extra special thank you to Cheryl Coke of the Teaching Practice, for the outstanding job of raising and collecting the most pledges for two consecutive years.
