DEPARTMENT OF RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY AND BIOMATERIALS SCIENCES:

The Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences encompasses Biomaterials, Endodontics, Implantology, Operative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.

Our mission reflects that of the school: to attain excellence in teaching,
research and patient care.

Education: As the largest of HSDM’s academic departments, the faculty of the Department is responsible for the majority of didactic and clinical instruction in the HSDM predoctoral program. Additionally, the Department administers advanced graduate programs in Endodontics, Implantology and Prosthodontics.

Research: Each faculty member in the Department is involved in either clinical or basic science research conducted at HSDM or affiliated institutions.

Patient Care: Full-time Department faculty members see patients in the Harvard Dental Center’s Faculty Group Practice. Full and part-time faculty members supervise both pre-and postdoctoral students in the HSDM Student Clinic.
