Biographical Sketch
Dr. Brian Myung W. Chang received his first D.D.S. from Seoul National University School of Dentistry in South Korea (1989) and 2nd D.D.S. from University of Southern California (1993). He was awarded a Certificate in Advanced Education of Prosthodontics from Northwestern University (1996) in Chicago, and a Certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Columbia University and Bronx. V.A. Medical Center (1998).
After serving as a faculty at Marquette University in Milwaukee and Northwestern University and a Director for Prosthodontics Residency Program at Catholic University of Korea, he came to University of Nebraska School of Dentistry in 2000. He was a tenured- associate professor and served as the Director for the Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics and the Predoctoral Implant Program.
Dr. Chang was named “ Dr. Merritt C. Pederson Endowed Professor of Dentistry” in 2004, and was selected by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics to receive “ The Claude R. Baker Teaching Award” for Excellence in Teaching Pre-doctoral Fixed Prosthodontics in 2005. While teaching at University of Nebraska School of Dentistry ( 2000-2006), Dr. Chang received Ten separate “Faculty Recognition Award”, two separate “ Four-Year Teaching Award” from the Alpha Alpha Chapter of OKU National Dental Honor Society in 2004 & 2006. He also was selected as a hooder at Dental Graduation Commencement from DDS Class 2003, 2004 and 2006. He is an Associate Fellow at American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and a member of American College of Prosthodontists.
Since July of 2006, Dr. Chang has been serving as Senior Tutor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His teaching responsibilities also include supervising pre-doctoral prosthodontics clinic and directing the literature review course of “ Advanced Occlusion “ for Postgraduate Prosthodontics Residents.
