Biographical Sketch
Dr. Wright is currently the Director of Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wright received his B.S. from University of Memphis and his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee - Memphis. He completed his prosthodontic, maxillofacial, and implant fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Cornell University. He served as Director of the Division of Prosthodontics for twelve years at Columbia University. In addition, he served as Program Director of Graduate Prosthodontics and he founded and directed the Maxillofacial Fellowship at Columbia University. Dr. Wright also has more than twenty years of experience in predoctoral education and he established a successful mentoring program which mentored over thirty five dental school graduates from Columbia who went on to specialize in prosthodontics. Dr. Wright became one of the only full professors within the department and achieved a tenured appointment. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and Fellow of The American College of Prosthodontists. His prosthodontic practice is within Harvard's Faculty Group practice at the Harvard Dental Center. Dr. Wright is also an active member and fellow of numerous other dental organizations. He serves as a prosthodontic site visitor and as a member of the prosthodontic review committee for the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Wright serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and Quintessence International. In addition, Dr. Wright is an editor of the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Wright has published extensively in the medical and dental literature and has lectured extensively throughout North America and Asia. His research is in maxillofacial prosthodontics and implants, dental materials, and clinical trials.
