Jim McBride |
Jim McBride, of the HSDM Office of Research, was recently honored with a Harvard Heroes Award. The Harvard Heroes recognition program acknowledges and celebrates staff members across the University who consistently produce significant contributions above and beyond the expectations of their job and enhance their workplace.
As director of core laboratories, McBride provides support for 10 basic science laboratories, as well as clinical researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and students at HSDM. He has grown to become a vital contributor to the Office of Research team, as well as to the School as a whole. He works tirelessly, often on nights and weekends, to ensure that this vast population's needs are met. For the faculty, staff, and students at HSDM, McBride is a hero for his more than 22 years of dedication to the mission of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, the Longwood Medical Area, and the University.
The 2012 Harvard Heroes recognition ceremony, hosted by University President Drew Faust, will be held on June 5, 2012.
