Leonard Kaban Receives ADA’s Ross Award

Leonard B. Kaban, DMD '69, MD '73, recently received the prestigious Norton M. Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research from the American Dental Association (ADA). Kaban is the Walter C. Guralnick professor and chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at HSDM and chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital. The award is presented annually in memory of Dr. Norton M. Ross, a dentist and pharmacologist who spent most of his career in academic and research positions. Through this award, the ADA recognizes "an individual who has made significant contributions in clinical investigations that have advanced the diagnosis, treatment, and/or prevention of craniofacial-oral-dental diseases, as well as outstanding research endeavors in other areas."
