###    How do I access my patient records or x-rays?  expand\_more  

Patient records and x-rays are available through our [patient portal](https://patient.hsdm.harvard.edu/PatientAccess/), by submitting an [online request form](/dental-records-request "Dental Records Request"), or by calling (617) 432-1434.

 



 

 

 



###    What is the difference between the Faculty Group Practice and Teaching Practice?  expand\_more  

The Faculty Group Practice offers care by faculty dentists, while the Teaching Practice provides supervised care by dental students at a reduced fee.

 



 

 

 



###    What types of payment do you accept?  expand\_more  

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and several major dental insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Delta Dental Premier, MetLife, and UnitedHealthcare.

*Please note that the Faculty Group Practice does not participate in MassHealth.*

Our patient services representatives and billing coordinators can help you understand your coverage, estimate out-of-pocket costs, answer billing questions, and maximize your dental insurance benefits.

We’re open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and closed on most major holidays.

Cleanings and exams are generally recommended every six months, but frequency may vary based on individual needs.

We offer flexible self-pay options and reduced fees in our Teaching Practice.

 We strive to accommodate urgent needs but recommend calling ahead as same-day slots are limited. Please call 617-432-1434.

Appointment times vary by clinic. In the **Faculty Group Practice**, appointments are generally quicker, focusing on efficient, expert care. In the **Teaching Practice**, appointments may take longer to allow thorough, supervised care by dental students, which may involve additional steps and faculty reviews. Initial appointments can take up to 90 minutes for a comprehensive evaluation, depending on the type of care needed.

Bring any recent x-rays, a referral form if applicable, insurance information, and a form of ID.

 



 

 

 



###    Is parking available at Harvard Dental Center?  expand\_more  

Yes parking is available in the underground parking at 77 Ave Louis Pasteur, $17 per visit. Bring your ticket for validation. Accessible parking is available upon request.
