## Elevate your implant surgery skills

This advanced, two-day hands-on program is designed for experienced clinicians seeking to strengthen their surgical anatomy knowledge and refine their implant surgery techniques through donor-based surgical anatomy training.

Led by HSDM faculty, the program combines focused instruction with immersive hands-on learning in surgical anatomy, implant placement, flap design, suturing, and soft-tissue management.

With one faculty member for every four participants, the program is intentionally structured to provide meaningful hands-on participation, close faculty guidance, and an engaging learning environment.

## Hands-on experience

A defining feature of this program is its immersive donor-based surgical anatomy experience, designed to translate anatomical knowledge into surgical practice. Limited to a small number of participants, the program provides an intimate, highly interactive learning environment with meaningful hands-on experience, close faculty guidance, and opportunities to refine surgical techniques with greater precision and confidence.

- **Applied surgical anatomy**  
    Explore clinically relevant surgical anatomy and anatomical structures important to implant surgery.
- **Implant placement**  
    Practice guided and freehand implant placement and principles of immediate implant placement.
- **Flap design and suturing**  
    Practice flap design, elevation, closure, and suturing techniques relevant to implant surgery.
- **Soft-tissue management**   
    Explore principles and techniques for soft-tissue management around implants.
- **Surgical planning**  
    Integrate CBCT interpretation, anatomical knowledge, and surgical planning into hands-on exercises.

Participants will work in small faculty-led groups using real clinical cases or provided datasets.

- CBCT and intraoral scan analysis
- Digital implant planning
- Identification of anatomical limitations
- Implant selection and positioning
- Surgical guide design
- Prosthetic considerations, including emergence profile and screw access

**Format**

- Small-group collaboration (3–4 participants)
- Faculty-guided discussion
- Participant case presentations

**Learning Outcome**  
Each participant will complete a fully planned implant surgery case ready for clinical application.
