His research focuses on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), root resorption, and endodontic treatment outcomes. Patel has supervised more than 70 master's and PhD students and has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in CBCT imaging and root resorption and has served as lead author of multiple position statements for the European Society of Endodontology, including guidance on CBCT, external cervical resorption, root resorption, and cracked teeth. Patel has delivered keynote presentations at more than 150 international meetings across five continents and has co-authored six textbooks that have been translated into five languages. --- ![headshot](/sites/g/files/omnuum6001/files/2026-06/Shahidi.jpg) ### Parsa Shahidi Dr. Parsa Shahidi is a doctor of dental medicine, biomedical engineer, and dental artificial intelligence (AI) researcher in the Division of Endodontics at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on the application of AI to endodontics and oral health care. Shahidi is co-founder and president of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine AI Society and the Dental AI Institute, an international educational platform focused on artificial intelligence in dentistry. He is also co-founder of DentiScope AI, a company developing AI-driven technologies for intraoral disease detection. He serves on the American Association of Endodontists' AI Think Tank, contributes to the World Health Organization Focus Group on AI for Dentistry, and lectures internationally on artificial intelligence in dentistry. Shahidi has received several honors, including Boston University's Dental Medicine Spencer Frankl Scholarship Award, the Dean's Clinical Excellence and Chairside Manner Award, and the Boston University Biomedical Engineering Presidential Scholarship. --- ![headshot](/sites/g/files/omnuum6001/files/2026-06/Warriner.jpg) ### Christina Warriner Dr. Christina Warinner is the Landon T. Clay Professor of Scientific Archaeology in the Departments of Anthropology and Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. She also leads international research groups at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology and the Leibniz Institute for Natural Products Research and Infection Biology in Germany. Warinner specializes in the analysis of ancient DNA and proteins, with research focused on the evolution of the human microbiome and the history of human diet. She pioneered the metagenomic study of dental calculus to reconstruct ancient oral microbiomes, including the oldest microbiome recovered to date from a 100,000-year-old Neanderthal. Her team has reconstructed more than 4,000 ancient microbial genomes, providing new insights into microbial evolution, ecology, and adaptation. Warinner is the recipient of the American Association for the Advancement of Science Sussman Award for Scientific Contributions to Anthropology and the American Anthropological Association Exemplary Cross-Fields Award. She is also committed to education and open science, co-founding the Introduction to Ancient Metagenomics Summer School and advancing initiatives that promote research transparency, data sharing, and scientific collaboration. --- ![headshot](/sites/g/files/omnuum6001/files/2026-06/yoo.jpg) ### Yeon Jee Yoo Dr. Yeon Jee Yoo is a faculty member in the Department of Endodontics at Seoul National University School of Dentistry and a visiting faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She earned her DDS and PhD from Seoul National University. Yoo's research focuses on regenerative endodontics, endodontic microbiology, advanced biomaterials, and clinical outcomes.
