## Faculty Affairs

The Office for Faculty Affairs supports and enriches the research and academic careers of our faculty, working closely with leaders and other members of the Harvard community to streamline appointment and promotion processes, provide professional development, and connect faculty with exciting career advancement opportunities.

In close collaboration with the [**Harvard Medical School (HMS) Office for Faculty Affairs**](https://fa.hms.harvard.edu/), our internal office serves as a liaison between various entities across the University. We work alongside the Dean, department chairs, and promotion teams to facilitate the appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure processes for our faculty members and academic appointees. Additionally, we provide centralized support and resources to enhance faculty professional development and engagement.

In partnership with HMS, department administrators, chairs, and faculty, we aim to be a central resource within the School, ensuring that all faculty members are well-informed about the extensive resources available at Harvard University and within the Longwood Medical community to support their work and professional goals.

### HSDM Crimson Folder

The **HSDM Crimson Folder** equips administrators, faculty, and staff with the tools to support students in distress. This program helps you recognize signs of distress, respond with empathy, and connect students to the appropriate support services. By becoming familiar with available resources, you can play a critical role in guiding students through challenges and fostering their well-being.
