SUMMARY:Influence of Implant Design in Atrophic Ridge Treatment
DESCRIPTION:

Over the past five decades, dental implant technology has advanced significantly, allowing for faster osseointegration and even immediate same-day prosthetics. However, implant placement in a severely atrophic anterior ridge remains a clinical challenge when using conventional methods. In these cases, clinicians often opt for a 6-unit bridge in the posterior region rather than attempting implants in a thin, low anterior ridge.

In this lecture, Dr. Kwang Bum Park, DDS, MS, PhD, professor at Kyungpook National University, School of Dentistry, South Korea, will present innovative techniques to facilitate implant placement in atrophic anterior ridges. Drawing on 40 years of clinical experience, Park will explore strategies that minimize surgical complexity, reduce financial and psychological burdens on patients, and improve long-term outcomes. Attendees will gain insights into achieving esthetic and functional success while enhancing patient satisfaction.

About the presenter
<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="f2454375-6123-4e75-a72f-e21bd6153640" data-view-mode="hwp_small" data-align="right"> </drupal-media>
Dr. Kwang Bum Park graduated from Kyungpook National University, School of Dentistry in 1985 and completed his periodontics training in 1988.
