Dr. Nora Alamer is a dual board-certified orthodontist and public health dentist. She earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Nova Southeastern University and completed her dental public health residency at Columbia University. She then received her clinical certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Tufts University, followed by a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree from Harvard University.

Alamer is currently an assistant professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is leading a committee to develop the first dental public health residency program in the Middle East. Additionally, she teaches postgraduate dental residents and supervises dental interns in conducting and presenting research projects. Alongside her academic role, she practices orthodontics in a private practice in Riyadh. She is also a Misk fellow and an inaugural member of the Saudi Leadership Society, which aims to empower and inspire visionary leaders contributing to the development of Saudi Arabia and the world.

Her research focuses on analyzing national data to assess oral health disparities, implementing school-based oral health programs, and integrating oral health and primary care. She advocates for changes in Saudi Arabia's healthcare system to ensure efficiency and facilitate access without sacrificing quality. Alamer has received the Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health, the Caswell A. Evans Population Oral Health Post-Professional Award, and the Dr. James M. Dunning Award for Outstanding Research in Oral Epidemiology/Public Health Dentistry.
