Dr. Samantha Parad is a board-certified comprehensive general dentist, a diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry, a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a registered nurse. She serves as an attending dentist at Cambridge Health Alliance and is a part-time lecturer at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).

Parad began her career as a registered nurse after attending the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her dental degree summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), then completed HSDM’s general practice residency program, gaining experience treating medically complex patients at Massachusetts General Hospital. She later served as an assistant professor at TUSDM and practiced at Franciscan Children’s Hospital before joining HSDM.

She was named a 2024 recipient of the Institute for Teaching and Learning—Advancement of Women Faculty in Clinical Professions, a 2023 Massachusetts Dental Society 10 Under Ten Dentist, and the national recipient of the 2023 ADEA/Gillette Hayden Memorial Foundation/AAWD Woman Dentist Award.

Parad is passionate about interprofessional education and integrating oral and systemic health. She maintains hospital privileges and treats patients with behavioral, social, and medical special health care needs, often in the operating room under general anesthesia.

She serves as chair-elect of the American Dental Education Association Special Interest Group on Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care and continues to advance leadership in dental education and curriculum development.
