Sung Eun Choi, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She holds a PhD in management science and engineering, with a focus on health policy, from Stanford University, and an MS in biostatistics from Harvard University.

Choi’s research uses data analytics and decision science to evaluate the health and economic outcomes of health policies and care decisions. Her work focuses on reducing health disparities and improving access to care, supported by a K99/R00 award from the National Institutes of Health and the Eleanor and Miles Shore Faculty Development Award. She applies advanced methodologies, including data science and operations research, to support evidence-based decision-making and policy evaluation.
