#  One Massachusetts town’s rejection of water fluoridation foresaw a growing national debate 

 



Dr. Catherine Hayes, chair of the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology, was recently featured in *The Boston Globe* addressing water fluoridation and emphasizing the importance of science-based public health decisions. Former Boston Public Health Commission dental director and HSDM faculty member Dr. Myron Allukian Jr. also highlighted the proven benefits of fluoridation.
