Giving societies

HSDM honors the generosity of its supporters through recognition societies that celebrate their contributions and commitment.

Henry C. Warren Society

Established to honor Henry C. Warren’s 1899 bequest of $23,000, this society recognizes donors who include HSDM in their estate plans or make planned gifts.

The Keep Society

Named for HSDM’s founding dean, Nathan Cooley Keep, this society celebrates leadership donors whose collective gifts total $1,867 or more annually, reflecting the School’s founding year. The Keep Society includes the following giving circles:

  • Dean’s Circle: $100,000–$999,999 annually
  • Hawley Circle: $25,000–$99,999 annually, named for Carlotta Augusta Hawley, DDS, HSDM’s first female graduate
  • Freeman Circle: $10,000–$24,999 annually, named for Robert Tanner Freeman, the first African American dental graduate in the U.S.
  • Longwood Circle: $1,867–$9,999 annually

Loyalty Giving Society

This society honors donors who demonstrate loyalty through at least five consecutive years of giving. Recognition begins in the fifth year and continues with ongoing annual contributions.

Philanthropic leaders

DONOR SPOTLIGHT

Alumnus honors HSDM with $1 million gift to support oral medicine research and faculty mentorship

Dr. Razzaque Ahmed, DMSc88, PD88, MPA95, dedicates funds to HSDM’s Department of Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity to continue the vital work that launched his career.
