Faculty Career Development Workshop Series
The Office for Faculty Affairs offers a Faculty Career Development Workshop Series designed to support the professional growth of full- and part-time faculty members.
These monthly sessions provide practical guidance for navigating the promotion process and planning for career advancement at HSDM.
About the series
This workshop series highlights critical resources and strategies to align daily activities with career advancement goals. Topics include:
- Orientation to the promotion process and faculty resources.
- Guidance on promotion criteria for assistant and associate professors.
- Tools for managing time commitments and aligning activities with career goals.
- Steps for preparing productive annual career conferences.
Objectives
- Develop strategic plans for short- and long-term career advancement.
- Access tools and resources for career planning and promotion.
- Enhance transparency and understanding of HSDM faculty policies.
- Foster routine career strategy practices for departments and individual faculty members.

When: Last Thursday of the month (with exceptions for holidays or breaks)
