Michelle Chou

Lecturer on Developmental Biology, Part-time

Dr. Michelle Y. Chou is a board-certified orthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is a faculty member at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she directs the course Mechanotherapy: Clinical Integration of Physical and Biological Principles of Orthodontics. She also maintains a private practice where she provides individualized, evidence-based care that incorporates precision, esthetics, biology, and emerging dental technologies.

Chou earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University, a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard University.

She has received several academic honors, including the Samuel I. Botkin Memorial Award, the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award, and election to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Chou is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics, Harvard Odontological Society, American Academy of Dental Sciences, and the Consortium for Translational Orthodontic Research..

Through her clinical practice, teaching, and research, Chou is committed to advancing the field of orthodontics and mentoring future clinicians and scholars in oral health sciences.
