Dr. Edward Krupat

Dr. Edward Krupat earned his PhD in social psychology from the University of Michigan and has held academic positions both within and beyond health care. From 2003 to 2016, he served as director of the Center for Evaluation at Harvard Medical School before retiring from his full-time role there.
Krupat is currently a faculty member in the Master of Dental Education program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a medical education research specialist at the Brigham Education Institute of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He has a long-standing interest in evaluating educational innovations in health care and has developed instruments to assess patient-centeredness, educational climate, and clinical reasoning.
