Dr. Eleana Stoufi

Dr. Eleana Stoufi is a lecturer at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), an honorary associate professor at the University of Rwanda, an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda, and head of the Department of Oral Medicine at Euroclinic Hospital in Athens.

Stoufi earned her DMD and MSc and completed postgraduate training in oral medicine and oral pathology at HSDM. She holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2015 to 2019, she taught at the University of Rwanda through Harvard’s Human Resources for Health Program.

From 2015 to 2016, Stoufi served as scientific director of a two-year oral cancer prevention program sponsored by the European Union, the Greek Ministry of Health, and the Greek Dental Association. Since 2020, she has served on the Greek Ministry of Health’s national committee for its anti-smoking campaign. She also contributes to the FDI World Dental Federation’s tobacco cessation task team.

Her professional service includes serving as secretary and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Greek Dental Association, vice president of the Hellenic Association of Oral Medicine and Pathology, and a scientific committee member for the Greek Cancer Society and the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention. She is also a member of the European Association of Oral Medicine.

Stoufi has authored more than 80 scientific publications and delivered more than 200 presentations. She co-authored the Greek-language Pocket Atlas of Oral Diseases and the second edition of Periodontal Manifestations of Local and Systemic Diseases, published in English by Springer and in Spanish by Amolca. She also contributed a chapter on pediatric oral diseases to Clinical Protocols in Paediatric Dentistry: A Guide to the Treatment of the Young Patient.
