Dr. Faheem Rasool is interim chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). An HSDM alumnus, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), a master of medical sciences (MMSc), and a certificate in prosthodontics through the school's Advanced Graduate Education program.

Rasool served as a full-time HSDM faculty member for nine years, including as head of the Division of Prosthodontics and senior tutor. During his tenure, he helped implement HSDM's problem-based prosthodontics curriculum, provided patient care in the Faculty Group Practice, and lectured nationally and internationally. He currently teaches at HSDM on a part-time basis while maintaining a private prosthodontic practice.

Rasool is active in numerous professional organizations and serves as a consultant to the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation. He is also a member of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, serves on the Research Review Committee of the American College of Prosthodontists, and is a member of the Harvard Odontological Society. In 2025, he and his wife, Dr. Shah-Hosseini, received the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award in recognition of their service and mentorship to the HSDM community.
