Dr. Jamil A. Shibli

Lecturer on Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity

Dr. Jamil A. Shibli is an international lecturer in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He received his DDS and PhD from Araraquara Dental School, UNESP, Brazil. As part of his doctoral studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo, he received training in microbiology and molecular biology.

Shibli’s research focuses on translational science, bridging the gap between bench research and clinical practice in the areas of dental implants and biomaterials. His work includes clinical trials as well as in vitro and in vivo studies, particularly in periodontology and oral implants.

He has authored more than 290 peer-reviewed publications, contributed to 10 textbooks, and holds several patents, with an emphasis on regenerative medicine and bone regeneration.
