Dr. Olivia Middleton, is a faculty member at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) and director of the DMD Program in Orthodontics. She earned her DMD from HSDM in 2023 and completed advanced graduate training in orthodontics at HSDM, earning a Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc) and a certificate in orthodontics.

Middleton earned her undergraduate degree in health science from Northeastern University, where she completed a pre-dental track. During her DMD training at HSDM, she was selected to participate in the Scholars in Dental Education program, which provided advanced study in curriculum development, educational research, teaching, and academic dentistry.

Her clinical and research interests include orthodontic care and improving access to treatment for underserved patient populations. Her research has examined Medicaid eligibility and insurance approval processes for orthodontic treatment in Massachusetts, with a focus on identifying barriers to care and opportunities to improve documentation and access.

Middleton's academic interests include dental education, mentorship, and expanding early exposure to orthodontics for DMD students. In her faculty role, she is committed to supporting students' clinical development while advancing orthodontic education at HSDM.
