Prosthodontic Care
Prosthodontists restore and replace teeth to improve how you eat, speak, and smile. They plan care for patients with missing or damaged teeth and for those who need more complex dental restoration.
At Harvard Dental Center, care is provided by Harvard School of Dental Medicine faculty and advanced graduate students training in prosthodontics. Your team will evaluate your needs and explain your treatment options.

Dental implants
Dental implants can replace one missing tooth, several teeth, or a full arch of teeth. They can support crowns and bridges or help secure dentures. Our prosthodontists focus on planning and creating the replacement teeth that attach to implants. They work with periodontists and other specialists when implant placement or grafting is needed.
Prosthodontic implant services include:
- Crowns to replace a single tooth
- Implant-supported bridges to replace several teeth
- Full-arch replacement teeth
- Implant-supported dentures
- Restoration of existing implants when repairs are needed
Your care team will explain the recommended treatment, timeline, and cost after evaluating your needs. The type of restoration and number of implants needed vary by patient.
