Additional information

  • A non-refundable application fee of $95 is required. Pay here. 
  • Applicants must hold a DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school by the time of enrollment
  • Applicants must be  a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident and  eligible to hold a New Hampshire dental license.  

Evaluation guidelines

  • The IEF is required and may come from a postdoctoral program or research advisor (e.g., a PI).
  • At least one PEF must be from your most recent academic director or employer (if applicable).

TOEFL policy

  • Applicants (including native English speakers) who do not hold both a bachelor’s and dental degree from the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or the U.K. must submit official TOEFL scores taken within the past two years. Holding a bachelor's degree in dental medicine or surgery alone is not enough to be exempt from the TOEFL
  • Minimum required overall score: 95
    Subscores: Reading 21, Listening 17, Speaking 24, Writing 25

    All subcategory score minimums must be satisfied. 

Do not submit the following to HSDM: transcripts, resumes/CVs, letters of recommendation, portfolios, research papers, etc. All materials submitted to PASS will suffice for the application process.
