Dental Public Health
Advance public health leadership on a path that works for you
The Dental Public Health (DPH) program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine prepares oral health leaders to improve population health through research, policy development, prevention strategies, and community-based care.
Degree pathways include Certificate, Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc), and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) options for dentists pursuing careers in clinical public health, academic research, health services leadership, and policy.
Residents develop expertise in disease surveillance, program evaluation, health services research, and the integration of oral and systemic health. All pathways meet the educational requirements for eligibility to sit for the American Board of Dental Public Health specialty examination.
A Rural Track option is available for eligible U.S. applicants and includes full tuition support and a living stipend.
