Overview
Occlusion plays a critical role in the long-term success of dental treatment. One of the primary clinical challenges is selecting and applying appropriate occlusal principles based on the type of prosthesis and each patient’s functional and esthetic needs.
This lecture will review essential occlusal concepts for removable, fixed, and implant-supported restorations, along with diagnostic evaluation, clinical decision-making, and treatment planning for fixed prosthodontic rehabilitation. Practical guidance will also be provided on managing occlusion throughout treatment and delivery.
The session will conclude with clinically relevant strategies to help clinicians address common occlusion-related challenges encountered in everyday practice.
