Strengthen your ability to recognize, diagnose, and manage complex oral conditions through a clinically focused program led by experts in oral medicine, oral pathology, oncology, pain management, and related disciplines.
Over 10 live virtual sessions, participants will examine common and complex oral diseases, systemic conditions with oral manifestations, oral potentially malignant disorders, oral cancer, salivary gland diseases, and complications of systemic therapies. Interactive lectures, clinical pathology image review, multidisciplinary discussion, and case-based workshops will help participants apply current evidence to clinical decision-making and patient-centered care.
The program culminates in a collaborative capstone workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring challenging cases for discussion with faculty and peers.
Oral conditions can be the first sign of local disease, systemic illness, or treatment-related complications. Develop a systematic approach to evaluating findings, building differential diagnoses, and determining appropriate next steps, including additional testing, biopsy, treatment, referral, and multidisciplinary care.

Two interactive workshops give you dedicated opportunities to apply course concepts to complex clinical cases, strengthen your diagnostic reasoning, and develop patient-centered management plans with guidance from faculty experts.
This mid-program workshop bridges foundational knowledge and clinical practice. Through real-world cases, participants will apply diagnostic approaches, develop differential diagnoses, select appropriate diagnostic tools—including biopsy strategies and laboratory evaluation—and develop evidence-based, patient-centered management plans.
The program culminates in an interactive case-consultation workshop. Participants are invited to bring challenging cases for collaborative discussion, refine differential diagnoses, and consider comprehensive, multidisciplinary management approaches with faculty and peers.
Registration covers the complete live online certificate program, including orientation and all 10 sessions. Participants should plan to attend weekly on Tuesdays from January 19–March 30, 2027.

Participants who meet program requirements will receive a Harvard School of Dental Medicine Certificate of Completion and earn 18 continuing education credits.
